Aoba Seragaki is the protagonist of DRAMAtical Murder and i love him a lot. He is 23 years old, lives on the island of Midorijima, and works at Junkshop heibon!! Over the course of the dmmd franchise he makes many friends, experiences the horrors, and discovers secrets about himself both inside and out.

this shrine was not only made to just show my love for aoba, but it was also in honor of his birthday!! this page was in development on and off for a few months but i decided to put all the effort i had into finishing it for the day ever: April 22nd, 2024. Happy birthday aoba!!

unfortunately this shrine is still a bit unfinished. along with being a birthday present it is also supposed to serve as a place to dump my aoba rambles. ive completed some of the points in the table of contents but some still have yet to be written. if it has a strike through it that means it'll be added at a later date!

        (ijust looked up jesus mighty to see if there were any connects and i knew there would be but this paragraph adds more to aobas stry "his lowly birth" he was born in the labs and then died shortly after and then was taken away to the orphanage where he would live for a while until nine came i guess thats lowly and tgen 23 years later dramatical murder happened)

        i love how detailed dmmd is for no reason like content from all over the franchise is relevant and ties back to the original game somehow and theres so many things you might not have thought about before

aoba made me feel like it wasnt thatt bad.

around a year before i had gotten into dmmd, i had remembered the fact i had attempted suicide at an extremely young age and i didnt know what to do with that information. i joked about it sometimes to my friends, told it to my clubmates, because to me it just existed. what was i supposed to do with it exactly? up until now it was gone but know its a part of me. thats where dmmd comes in.

in may of 2023 i got into dmmd. it was during ren's route and aobas ascending oval tower yknow fighting off sly and remembering all the lore but more importantly remebering suppressed childhood memories due to trauma. it made me think... he did it too. repressed tauma isnt a dmmd only thing of course its in everything ever but it made me think tht we werent so different, because we werent. it made me ask the question, am i still "normal"? afer thinking about it. no, i wasn't. something i so often see as plot devices in fiction happened to me and it didnt feel like it was actually real, like something i had the right to be concerned about. most of my life i always second guessed my self and told myself my problems arent that serious. but if i share a trait with AOBA SERAGAKI of all characters, can i really say that it isnt?

looking at aoba, looking at him in the promo art for re:connect, that one illustration of him smiling in a garden, gave me the most. visceral sense of calm. it was like. he was the embodyment of light anjd bliss. listening to only finally there is the free end and cosmocall field gives me the same feeling. the feeling of being able to be happy. i could go lyric by lyric note by note explaining why for those 2 songs but i dont need to especially sense only finally there is the free end is literally the good ending song. BUT ANYWAYS. yea looking at aoba made me feel safe ig. like if he could do it if he could walk away from the events of dmmd and be ok and have a job then it was ok.

aoba is like a religious figure to me he is my yaoi jesus
